Blender 4.5
I play with translating designs to 3D in this section

I really enjoy the Hilda Style. So I designed this piece to be a ‘lost’ episode, the Kat Cafe. I used Clip Studio paint for the blocking and final art.
I used the Hilda Background that I designed above to translate it into Blender. I blocked the 3D mesh of the red post box/cafe. Everything else is a flat 2D BG in Grease Pencil.
Just goofing around that’s all
I followed a tutorial by Iacruzo on Youtube as a test before I worked on the background above. It’s a good crash course in learning the main Grease Pencil tools before jumping into a bigger project.
I like the idea of a 3D drawing that you can move around in space. Still working on the idea of a more painterly, messy, 3d drawing if that makes sense. I wanted smudges and marks, shaky lines and seeming mistakes to counteract the clean lines of 3D models.
